6. Accounting Software and QuickBooks Data
The Company operates internal software tools (including the Benalika QBO Connector) that connect to the Company’s own QuickBooks® Online account through APIs provided by Intuit Inc., after explicit authorization through Intuit’s consent flow. These tools access the Company’s own accounting records — financial reports, transactions, journal entries, and the chart of accounts — solely for the Company’s bookkeeping, financial reporting, and tax-compliance purposes.
Accounting data retrieved this way is stored on Company-controlled, access-protected systems, is not sold, and is not shared with third parties other than the Company’s professional service providers (such as its accountant) as necessary for those purposes. Use of these tools is governed by the applicable End User License Agreement. QuickBooks and Intuit are registered trademarks of Intuit Inc.; the Company’s tools are not affiliated with or endorsed by Intuit Inc.
7. Data Retention
We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected, or as required by applicable law. Contact form submissions and project-related communications are retained for a period sufficient to service the engagement and meet legal obligations, then deleted or anonymized.
8. Your Rights under PIPEDA and BC PIPA
As a resident of Canada or British Columbia, you have the following rights regarding your personal information:
- Access — You may request confirmation of whether we hold personal information about you and, if so, request a copy.
- Correction — You may request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete personal information.
